Most Common Cosmetic Penile Enlargement Surgery

Successful penile enlargement surgery certainly gives the appearance of bigger and larger penis. It is also true that surgery creates the appearance of a more powerful and masculine shaft but does not add muscle mass. Through surgery, the penis can be visually enlarged up to 1-2 inch.

For penile enlargement, the three most familiar cosmetic treatment options include penile ligament release, penalscrotal webbing release, and pubic liposuction.

Penile ligament release: The procedure is also known as suspensatory ligament release. While performing the surgery, the surgeon creates an incision at the base of the penis (in other words the underside of the point where the penis connects the groin) and cuts through the ligament fixing firmly the penis to the pubic bone. When the ligament is excised, a portion of the shaft that generally remains under the skin of the groin area slides forward, producing about one extra inch of external length. To keep this extra length outside the body, the patient must put on weights on the penis for several months following the surgery, stretching the tissues so that the penis does not slide back under the skin.

Penoscrotal webbing release: This surgical procedure is also known as scrotum release. In this procedure, the surgeon detaches the underside of the penis from the skin of the scrotum (testes) to allow the shaft to move forward and look longer. Once again, you will experience no actual enlargement in penile length.

Pubic liposuction: During the procedure, the surgeon takes out the fat at the lower part of the abdomen, around the base of the penis. When the fat is removed, the penis looks longer and larger.

Before the penile enlargement surgery, surgeons advise patients to avoid working out for several weeks in order to reduce the risk of injury that might require postponing the procedure. Following the surgical treatment, the surgery area will be sore for few days. And, bruising, swelling, scarring, and infection are some of risks which can be experienced by patients for all forms of penile enlargement.

After removing the stitches, patients are usually advised not to actively participate in exercise and sports activities for two to six weeks.
