How much you can gain with penile lengthening
Penile lengthening is a surgical procedure to increase the penis length and it is achieved by releasing the suspensory ligament of the shaft and the postoperative use of penile weights or stretching devices.
The keystone of penile lengthening procedures is a combination of release of the suspensory ligament of the penis with an inverted V-Y penopubic skin advancement. The procedure theoretically adds flaccid length. But, this penile length gain is disputed in most cases, and it can cause the penis to appear either longer or shorter in the flaccid state. The V-Y flap is situated far from the center at the penopubic junction, varying from a small (2 to 3 cm) to a large base. Most surgeons recommend cutting the suspensory and fundiform ligament in combination with the use of postoperative penile weights.
If we talk about how much a patient can gain from penile lengthening procedure then the gains in the flaccid state will be greater initially than in the erect state. As each patient has different penis length and a different amount of inner penis inside them, thus penis length varies from person to person. It is very difficult; in fact no way to tell how much length there is inside you until the doctor operates on you. Average expected length achieved from penile lengthening procedure is 1 inch, but self motivated patients may gain up to 2 inches. In addition, generally there is somewhat smaller penile length gain in the erect state than in the flaccid state. If you use post operative stretching devices (weights, stretchers.) you should gain more flaccid and erect length in the immediate future.
After having penis surgery, you should be careful about your daily activity to avoid any kind of complication. The groin area might be sore, but you will be able to walk around. If you have gone through only lengthening procedure, then 3-4 weeks are recommended depending on your healing process. If you find any discomfort, you should contact your surgeon immediately.
